Bachelor Practical Project
Content
The analysis of acoustic scenes and environments is a prominent research area with many challenging sub-tasks, including scene classification and source localization. To evaluate and test new approaches, a large amount of high-quality audio data is needed. In addition to using existing open-source datasets, the analysis of self-made recordings is essential for investigating specific predefined scenarios. To this end, this project aims at developing a recording app that can be used on mobile devices as smartphones. The app should offer several recording options that can be selected by the user.
Topic Description
Develop and test a smartphone application for recording, saving, and analyzing audio environments. Implement the selection of custom recording parameters like sampling rate and other options like enabling GPS-tracking. Furthermore, design a pleasant graphical style with options for visual real-time analysis. Evaluate the functionality of the app in simple offline analysis tasks.
